We let the calendar slide for a while so sorry for that but its going to be kept up to date from now on so you can check the availability on all our rooms

I write from The Boom Rooms which is a rehearsal rooms that also offers recording and a repairs service for musical equipment. This little musical outpost in the Colne Valley, set in the sturdy stone of a Victorian mill has been here for about 8 years now and has absorbed the eager sounds of a thousand bands. Long may it serve the needs of all musicians who need a place to gather and well, practice.

I have decided to keep a journal to promote bands that come here and practice. This will create a focus point for them and will hopefully contribute to and add vitality to the music scene in Huddersfield and beyond these mills and hills..So stay tuned for a Boom Rooms band in focus real soon

Recording offers

Boom Rooms offers good value recording options for bands and solo
artists. We offer the more relaxed environment of the rehearsal room
with good mics and experienced sound engineering. If you want a live
demo or overdubbed recordings we can offer a range of good quality and
good value services.

Half Price Sunday

The first Sunday in the month means that all practice rooms are
available with PA, mics, leads and full drum kit for £6/hr. If you're
musical, curious about this here 'boom booms' and also careful with
your desperately precious moneymoneymoney then this may be the right
day for you to get your act together chez booms.

If you want to get better at performing and honing your musical
skills or if you just want to make some noise, then you need an
acoustically treated, creative workspace in which to develop what you
do. and thats what the boom rooms provides.

Where is the Boom Rooms?

We're just off Savile Street, Milnsbridge, HD3 4PG

Milnsbridge is 2.5 miles from Huddersfield Town Centre, and is easily reached by Bus, Car, or a 40 min walk via the canal.

Bus - the 301, 302, 303 & 304 all stop here and offer regular services to and from the town centre.

Car/Taxi – Ten minutes drive along Manchester Road(A62), Abbey Taxi's (01484 462266/462626) are based on our street and have the best value fares to and from the Boom Rooms.

Rock schools

It looks like the Rock school sessions are going to start slowly as
hardly anyone has expressed any interest! They're still there if
anyone fancies it and we've got table tennis now!! anyone out there
want to take on the might of the boom rooms back spin?
